	Julia Scott Green is an image maker, writer, and arts worker from Meanjin/Brisbane, where she graduated from the Queensland College of Art and Design. 
Formally trained in photography, Green has dedicated herself to the practice of seeing. She understands vision to be speculative, porous, and influenced by mediation. Through long-form engagement with imaging technologies and their various iterations (chemical image; lens based image; computer generated image, etc) Green affirms that how you look determines what you see.

						Professionally, Green works on projects in contempoary art, cultural engagement, and arts education. She is commissioned to write art essays and consult on artist development. She has also taught photography, media studies, and visual culture within universities, schools, and community programs. More recently, Green has worked with internationally renowned art festivals Dark Mofo and the Biennale of Sydney, supporting audience engagement with contemporary art.
