Julia is a Brisbane based artist and educator. Her practice responds to the various applications and possibilities of the photographic medium - from experimental photo media image making, documentary style visual storytelling, through to investigating photography’s rich theoretical history. Her current work seeks to address the plasticity of perception, with the broader aim of investigating the strongly perceived distinction between mind and matter.

She graduated with Honours in Photography from the Queensland College of Art in 2012. Julia teaches within the School of Communication and Arts at The University of Queensland and is a member of VERGE Collective.
